Description
This was my first project that used sequins that had been pre-strung so that they could be stitched onto the muslin in a manner similar to the way one might stitch a ribbon. Not counting time spent planning, the project took 17 hrs. to complete.
The name of the labyrinth comes from the model used to design the embroidery; you can read more about it at labyrinthsociety.org/ (I used to have a direct link to the webpage but that link broke at some point).

Lovely!
This Xmas was the 1st time in 2 decades that I did some embroidery. I'd planned on doing a simple monogram on a chef's apron (Cotton/poly) in satin stitch. I botched that thanks to lack of practice & poor eyesight - looked rough & squiggly! My backup plan was to use my sewing machine's fancy stitches. Also a bust, when IT broke down. So, back to doing it by hand... but 1st some research for a stitch that would look good despite my ham handedness. I finally settled on a herringbone stitch & by the time I finished the 1st apron, I was getting competant! It only took me an entire day! The second apron took an hour or less & they both looked good!
